The Back Shop 1 (Junior Attendant) will be working at the Miskanaw Golf Club as a support to the overall day to day operations of the facility. Under the Supervision of the CPGA Head Professional, the Back Shop Attendant will provide customer services to golf patrons as well as maintain a well-organized and clean back shop.

Pay Rate: $14.89/hr

The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo, is a not-for-profit company, operating recreational facilities in the Wood Buffalo Region. The flag ship complex, MacDonald Island Park is Canada's largest community recreational, leisure, and social centre. Home to the Suncor Community Leisure Centre, Miskanaw Golf Club and Shell Place, MacDonald Island Park works under the umbrella of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. 

• Driving Range duties: Picking range balls and related cleaning and cleanliness of general driving range area (range tees, garbage, etc), making sure range balls are ready for member use at all times
• Retrieving and putting away golf bags and carts ahead off tee off times.
• Power cart duties: Parking carts in order, washing and cleaning carts, basic maintenance (flat tires, gassing, etc) and monitor carts for maintenance issues, loading and unloading carts, ensuring that carts have towels and scorecard in them.
• General cleaning : Sweeping/cleaning of outside area (from driving range to end of cart area), back shop cleaning and organizing and cleaning of rental and club storage clubs
• Answering customer questions (referring to pro shop, front desk, etc) and providing special attention to any assistance needed by a member.
• Perform all closing duties as outlined in the standards of service booklet
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Education:

• Enrolled in High School
• Must be 15 years of age or older

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Customer service skills
• Ability to drive small vehicles (golf cart and range picker unit)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift golf bags weighing between 50-60 pounds and approximately 5 feet up for storage.
• One (1) month of experience is anticipated for employees to completely familiarize themselves with The Regional Recreation Corporation's facility policies and procedures.
