    SCOPE: 

    The Digital Media & Design Coordinator plays an integral role as a key member of a dynamic and progressive Marketing Team for the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC). Specializing in creating compelling multi-channel content, this contributor builds strong stakeholder relationships & tackles a variety of marketing & design-related projects while bringing RRC brands to life through the execution of sport, entertainment & recreation related marketing programs. This individual is a conceptual thinker with an affinity for visual and creative solutions.

    Responsibilities

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop programs that promote the RRC’s strategic priorities, vision and mission.
    • Translate marketing strategies into effective content for digital & print media
    • Collaborate with internal clients; provide design concepts & solutions
    • Assist with the development of solutions based on consumer insights & data
    • Proactively ensure brand standards are adhered to
    • Contribute to strategies that accelerate growth of the RRC social media program
    • Assist with the email marketing program
    • Manage CMS & advertising systems
    • Ensure content creation, production and execution timelines are met
    • Monitor progress of projects, including the tracking of all project files and archives, and provide continuous communication to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Sponsorship regarding on-going project and status updates
    • Serve as an in-house resource for managing the content and media library
    • Work with vendors & suppliers to complete signage and collateral projects
    • Other relevant duties as required

    Qualifications

     

    Education:

    • A background in visual communication developed through a combination of education & experience
    • Completion of a degree or diploma in a related design field

     

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Demonstrated ability to drive for product leadership in an entrepreneurial style
    • Maintains a portfolio demonstrating strong technical expertise in design
    • Motivated by deadlines & skilled with bringing projects to successful completion
    • Fluent with Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
    • Ability to apply creative methods to communicate concepts, ideas & solutions
    • Knowledgeable with file prep & print shop procedures
    • Ability to employ best practices & values that govern work in creative services

     

    Desirable Skills & Experience:

    • Experience in entertainment &/or recreation industry
    • Photography skills
    • Experience with Google & Facebook digital ad networks
    • Experienced with interactive media design
    • Working knowledge of Content Management Systems

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &WORKING CONDITIONS:

     

    • This is a full time position with a flexible 40 hour work week (evening & weekend work is required for events)
    • Most of the work is performed in an office environment requiring use of standard office equipment. Occasional lifting up to 50lbs may be required
    • This position may require travel between our various facilities within the Wood Buffalo Region
